The good things about this book is that Abercrombie has worked on everything he was abercrombie on for the First Law. Maps have been inserted into the book. Instead of the usual ��place at the front�� map, it is on the cover of the UK version of the book. The book is also divided into parts, each part is set in a different area. These areas are enlarged and placed before the start of each part (genius!).

The creativeness of Abercrombie is also evident in how he rearranges old minor characters into this book. He almost secretly inserts these old lace wigs into completely new characters with new roles, with new importances and that was a nice surprise. The other thing I also liked about this book was that it is a stand-alone novel. Too many books out there now are a part of a trilogy or 12 book series and it is refreshing to read a relatively new author produce a stand-alone novel.On the plus side there��s lots for the kids to interact with including a 10m keyboard they can jump around on and whch has featured in many films including A Christmas Story (1983). Someone from John Lewis once told me that one of their KPIs was that someone entering a shop should be greeted within one wedding dresses if they are to feel good about their visit. They even mystery shop to make sure its happening. Well Schwarz have always had a toy soldier at the door to greet you. Not subtle but it works.Secondly the buzz around iPhones. Everyone wants to play with one. There were hundreds out there all working, set up with data and wifi to test and play with.
